The larva of the Brown House moth Hofmannophila pseudospretella can do a lot of damage to woolen carpet fibres if left unchecked. It’s another reason it is a good idea to have your carpets cleaned once a year as the moth lay their eggs under furniture and around the edges of the carpet.
With our thorough cleaning methods we have often spotted the problem before any serious damage occurs and we can apply insecticide to these areas to stop them in their tracks
We will perform a thorough survey of the property to ascertain the insect in question and the extent of the problem and can write a full report with the best solutions to the problem.
If you are in agreement to go ahead the best course of action will usually be to clear all the furniture from the room/s in question a thorough deep carpet clean will remove the majority of the pests and to ensure they do not return we will then treat the area with insecticide.
